Names of flowers
upload by the river
blossoming fried egg
Matilija poppy
Orange
and dainty is this system
toxic nd posed invasive
In small stretch
of river oleander
cornflower
begonia.

At a protest
yesterday
twist
a
familiar
chant:
Say their name
one
from
a poem
with plants
which continue to grow

Its hot
the sun waits
Through
grass thinking
waiting
I dreamt
I let
myself
imagine
every minute
the ways
my words are
reaching
moving to reckon
I am asking
I’m prepared
to be.

Power
I know
what pillars
quake and
fall

red concrete
petition
the guide notes
nave
Know what
happened
here

Now
the cost
to fight hate
Call places
sitting on the other
side
quiet

sketch
a light
reconcile
softness
collect
prisons
release
them
it's our
job

beckon
a small breeze
flowering
the walls
of
capitalism
